The Evil Within release date brought forward

Bethesda marketing VP Pete Hines has said that The Evil Within will release a week earlier than expected. Hines confirmed at Quake Con that the survival horror game will release on October 14, rather than October 21.

The Evil Within was originally scheduled for an August release, but was delayed to allow Tango Gameworks time to balance and refine. Hines made the announcement shortly after showcasing the new Doom game.

In a interview recently, Pete Hines said The Evil Within will recall classic horror games of yesteryear. "We just wanted to make a really cool survival horror game that went back to the roots instead of where a lot of other survival horror games went."
