Alien: Isolation Updated
Alien: Isolation has released a free update which will bring forward an even harder difficulty setting. Nightmare Mode as it is called makes Amanda Ripley's motion tracker less reliable, whilst distorting the display. The health meter, ammo count, and flashlight battery indicator have all been removed. Enemies more aggressive, resources more scarce, and the map system has been disabled. Along with Nightmare mode there is also a Novice mode which makes the game far easier thus being more forgiving towards the player. More resources and a dumber AI are promised.

Alien: Isolation - Screenshots

In October, the chance to be pitted against an acid blooded creature that has been the cause of more than a few nightmares will be offered in the form of Alien: Isolation. Set within a world highly reminiscent and based of Ridley Scotts 1979 film Alien, Isolation will be placing you into the shoes of Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Ellen Ripley, as she sets out to investigate a possible lead on her missing mother, taking her to a space station that has descended into chaos.
Until then, a wealth of new screenshots from E3 have arrived showing an environment oozing with atmosphere and potential scares. The terrifying Alien itself is fully visible below, a horrifying figure of death that is joined by determined, and possibly just as dangerous, androids striding towards the player. A whole load of fire also features in many of the images, a substance that may be both a danger and a useful means of defense.
Alien: Isolation will be heading to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on October 7th.

Alien: Isolation officially announced
SEGA has officially announced Alien: Isolation, which is a first person survival-horror game being developed by Creative Assembly.
Alien: Isolation is due for release in late 2014, and will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, and will be set on a desolate trading station on the fringes of space. Gameplay will be heavily inspired by Ridley Scott's 1979 classic Alien.
"In Alien: Isolation, we have taken the series back to the roots of Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie, the original survival horror,” said Alistair Hope, creative lead at Creative Assembly. “Our Alien is a truly terrifying creature, as intelligent as he is hostile, relentless, brutal and unstoppable. This is the Alien game fans of the series have always wanted.”

Alien: Isolation Screenshots
A few days ago artwork appeared for what may be the next Alien game, supposedly named Alien: Isolation. Another leak over on twitter has now brought us screenshots from within the game itself, and they are looking pretty nice.
Using the singular term Alien along with the word isolation already indicated that this next installment featuring the acid blooded aliens will be moving down a horror route, and this latest leak seems to reinforce that. The screenshots show an eery interior, perhaps that of the station shown in the previous artwork. The shot of a couple of space suits is in particular creepy. Besides hinting at the tone of the game, the shots are visually impressive and hopefully accurate to what the actual game will be like. I doubt Sega would want a repeat of Colonial Marines after the earlier demos did not represent the final product, and the cold reception that lead to.
With all the leaks going on, one can hope its not to much longer before an official announcement.

Alien: Isolation artwork leak
A new game featuring the chest busting horrors may be reveled in the not to distant future and the following leaked artwork may give possible clues as to what the game may have in stall for people.

Spotted by a user over on NeoGAF, the leaked images supposedly show the daughter of the franchises protagonist Ripley with the reflection of an Alien on the visor, whilst the second one pictures a rather large and creepy looking station, lit from the distance by the signature green on the films. Sega confirmed in Creative Assembly was working on an Aliens game back in 2011, but nothing concrete has been seen on the game as of yet.
With the word Isolation is the title, one can hope that the game will be moving away from the action route of the not well received previous games, Aliens Vs Predator and Aliens: Colonial Marines, into a more horror focused game. Hopefully it will not be to long before with start getting non leaked images and concrete information. Until then cast your eyes over some impressively chilling artwork.
