Kojima says enemies in MGS V are too unpredictable

Hideo Kojima is going to be showing a tech demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at the Tokyo Game Show however it really is a pain as apparently enemies are so unpredictable that he cannot plan a presentation beforehand.
"If you’re going to see the demo at the stage event, I may have to stop [before the end of the presentation] because of mistakes"
"Oh my, the demo for the stage event is 100% more difficult. The behavior of the enemy is different every time, I can’t help it because I cannot predict it. I found out while playing that it’s not possible to pre-plan the presentation. If it was our own booth, extending the time would be possible on a case-by-case basis, but this time it’s not."
If this is the biggest problem that Kojima is facing then all we can see is that we're really excited. Imagine an enemy so unpredictable that every time you play the game its totally different. Hopefully this will become a growing trend on all next gen titles because you cannot beat a good AI.

'Halo' Dev Criticises 'MGSV' Character Design

Halo Devloper David Ellis has branded Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid V character Quiet "ridiculous" and "shows that industry is full of man babies." David Ellis spoke out after Hideo Kojima announced that Metal Gear Solid V character 'Quiet' has been designed to be "sexy".

What caused Ellis to go off on one was this "What I'm really trying to do is create unique characters. One of those is, of course, Quiet. She's a really unique character, I wanted to add that sexiness to her," Kojima said. "It wasn't really supposed to be erotic, but sexy." in which case Ellis had this to say "Eccentricity is a cute cover word for objectification and sexism, sexuality can work in games and can be used for a purpose, such as in Platinum Games' "Bayoneta." But he said the effort felt cheap in "Metal Gear Solid V."
"This feels lazy and exploitative," he said. "I like breasts as much as the next guy, but this felt icky."

PES 2014 shows of new 'Fluidity Engine'

Konami has released a new video showcasing all the new feature's in the latest installment in the PES series. PES 2014 will use the FOX Engine which was used in the development of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zero. PES 2014 boast's next gen visual's on current gen consoles such as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Here are some of the features promised:

TrueBall Tech: For the first time in a football simulation, PES 2014 will centre everything on the ball: how it moves, and how players use it. Physics of the ball, stature of the player, speed and height of the pass,… everything will be taken into account to recreate the most realistic football experience on a home system.

Motion Animation Stability System (M.A.S.S.): The players will also be an important part of the game with M.A.S.S. that will increase the realism of physical contacts between players, tackles and decisions taken on the pitch by the AI to have more open games while playing PES.

Heart: Football is all about emotions and the support of the fans will now have an influence on the performance of the team, cheering and acting as the “twelfth man”. On the pitch, the performance of an individual player, good or bad, will also have an effect on the team, giving them a moral boost if he has a moment of individual brilliance; or forcing his teammates to support him if he is not doing well.

PES ID: Introduced in PES 2013, the Player ID system recreated faithfully the movements and skills of about 50 star players. In PES 2014, that number will increase greatly and will also apply to complete squads to replicate a team’s playing style.

Team Play: With the new Combination Plan, our users will be able set up a variety of different tactics in key areas of the pitch using three or more players. These players will make very different runs to exploit holes in the defence or midfield, using the flanks, curved runs, or overlapping play to make themselves available.

The Core: One of the biggest changes will be visual thanks to the new engine. Movements of the players, details of the kits, facial expression, stadiums,… everything will imitate reality. The flow of the match will also be improved with no more cut scenes after specific events. Finally, our fans will see changes concerning free kicks and penalties with more reaction from the defence and a more natural feeling.

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain

After many months of speculation Konami has finally announced that The Phantom Pain is Metal Gear Solid V and is the same game as Ground Zero. Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima appeared on stage at the GDC to announced the truth and that Moby Dick Studio's doesn't exist - yeah like we didn't know that! Hideo later revealed via a tweet that 'Ground Zeroes’ is a prologue of ‘MGSV’. 9 years after that event will be ‘The Phantom Pain’. MGSV is constructed w/ prologue and main game ‘TPP’. The game play demo I presented today is the opening of ‘TPP’ which is tutorial that starts from crawling.'

One surprise however was the fact that David Hayter who has gone on to be Solid Snake/ Big Boss in many titles along the series will not be reprising his role again himself tweeting
that he was not even contacted and asked to be apart of the game. One thing which baffles us is that the game has only so far been announced on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 which surely isn't possible with how great the game is looking. Most of Hideo's GDC talk revolved around the new Fox Engine technology that powers the game. He revealed that the aim was to make the visuals as photorealistic as possible, with many of the game’s assets scanned in directly from real life.
